Terms of use

Welcome to www.mycharterhr.com. These terms explain the rules for using our website. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What These Terms Cover
These terms apply to this website only.
These terms do not amount to any kind of agreement between you and Charter HR. If your company is a Charter HR client, your relationship with us is governed by that client’s contract with Charter HR and any related, written and signed co-employment agreements and any incorporated policies or procedures.  Nothing on this website changes those agreements, and nothing here creates a client relationship. Where these terms and a signed agreement might conflict, the signed agreement controls.
Our client portal at mcigo.net is a separate system with its own access terms. These terms do not govern your use of the portal.
The Information Here Is General, Not Advice
Charter HR might from time to time publish content about subjects such as payroll, human resources, employee benefits, workers' compensation, safety, and employment compliance. That content is general information intended to be useful. None of that content or anything on this website is advice of a legal, tax, accounting, insurance, or human resources nature. No such content or website information is intended to generate any sort of reliance by you or anyone else on that content or information. No part of the content or website information pertains to your specific situation, and reading the content or anything on this website does not create any professional, advisory or attorney-client relationship.
Employment and benefits laws and regulations change frequently and can vary by state, industry, and employee headcount, for example. Before you act on anything you read here, we recommend that you consult with your own professional advisor about your circumstances.
We work to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that every page or any page is up to date or free of error.

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or any connected system.

Forms and Submissions
When you submit a form on this website, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to provide it.
Do not send confidential or sensitive information through our website forms. We do not solicit or wish to receive any Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank or payment card numbers, health information, or employee records. Web forms and email are not secure channels. If you need to send us something sensitive, call 1-855-234-6234 and we will provide a secure method.
Submitting a form does not create a client relationship, and it does not obligate either of us to take any action or do anything further. We will respond to specific requests in a manner that we deem to be reasonable.
Any general feedback, ideas, or suggestions you send us about our website or services are not confidential, and we may use them without any obligation to you.
Our Content and Trademarks

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Charter HR and its owners, officers, employees, directors, affiliates, agents, successors and assigns will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of this website or its information or content or your reliance on anything you find here, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability relating to this website will not exceed one hundred dollars in the aggregate for all alleged or actual inaccuracies, mistakes or actionable offenses for all occurrences and any and all reoccurrences and for all dates and times.
Nothing in this section limits any obligation Charter HR might owe a PEO client or a leased employee or co-employee according to the terms of a written agreement signed by an authorized official of Charter HR. Any such agreements have their own terms.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Charter HR against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of this website or your violation of these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute relating to this website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the county circuit or federal district in Alabama having general jurisdiction over Charter HR and subject matter jurisdiction to adjudicate any such complaint, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Within a reasonable time after we do so, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
If Part of This Is Unenforceable
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
